About the role
Hands-on development of web product interfaces, NMS (Network Management System) GUI development
Responsibilities
- Key participant and contributor to product design process
- Work closely with product management to understand and implement requirements
- Design simple, clean user interfaces
Requirements
- BS in computer science or at least 5 years equivalent development experience
- Significant web front-end development experience, including Flash, HTML/XHTML,CSS, JavaScript and AJAX
- Experience in Ruby on Rails highly desirable
- Experience developing consumer-facing GUIs
- Some experience with database-backed web application development with MySQL,
- Perl, PHP or Ruby on Rails
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment and on short development timelines
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of design and user experience issues
Nice to have
- Experience with search products and interfaces
- Experience developing prototypes for usability testing
